This weeks Top 5 web distractions.

As far as weeks go, this had to be one of the worst weeks I've had. You know those weeks that you wish never existed. Kind off like that, but worse. A few good things did happen though, I started writing again, not to mention reading again as well, and I encountered some pleasant distractions on the world wide web which is what I want to talk about. So indulge me while I present this weeks Top 5 web distractions.

1. Game of Thrones cello cover by Break of Reality

Okay, I've heard the original by Ramin Djawadi and as far as covers go this one comes the closest. It's well choreographed, and the co-ordination among the 4 is flawless. A plus is the hand drums of course.

2. Radioactive - Lindsey Stirling & Pentatonix ( Imagine Dragons Cover)

A perfect song made even more perfect (didn't know that was possible) by Lindsey's impeccable talent on the violin and the choir of Pentatonix. Impressive production values as well for a You Tube only video. I subscribed, just saying!

3. Bypass - A Short Film

If you haven't watched Bypass yet, you'd be missing the brilliant on screen chemistry between Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a tight screenplay, brilliant shot taking by director Amit Kumar and the flawless way in which the film delivers its dark story without words. Yes, its a silent short film. Spend 15 minutes to watch this and your perspective towards Hindi cinema will change.

4. Moon + Reader Pro

It's an app that has opened my world to Ebooks and has helped me get back on the "reader board". Since I started using it, I finished the entire Shiva Trilogy and just got done with The Adventures of Dunk and Egg, next up will be The Inheritance Cycle by Paolini and Shantaram. Piracy rocks so head over to this link, download it to your phone and simply install it. It should work if you follow all instructions and .epubs are available on all torrent networks so you should have no dearth of books to read. Also install the Goodreads app for book recommendations. It's indeed good.

5. I love you baby and I love you Doll - Nischay Parekh

A song with honest lyrics and honest intentions. Made me think of many of my relationships. Indian singer/songwriter Nischay Parekh borrows heavily from Bruno Mars, James Blunt and John Mayer, but his sounds are refreshing and feel good. Listen to this one.

Notable mentions

Two notable mentions this week.

1. A game of Starcraft

2. Arrested Development Season 4 - Download link
