5 pearls of wisdom hidden in Taher Shah's Eye 2 Eye.

Disclaimer: For those of you who haven't heard Taher Shah's classic song Eye 2 Eye please click on the little black box below and drown yourself in its infinite wisdom. For those of you who have heard it though, kindly maintain eye 2 eye contact with this blog for the next 2 minutes.  

For the last 24 years I have lived my life without a song that truly spoke to me. I'm just glad that eye 2 eye came out in the same generation that I existed otherwise my unfulfilled life would be, well, even more unfulfilled. Here's 5 well hidden pearls of wisdom I gleaned from this song. 

1. I can see with my spectrum eyes.

If you haven't been using your spectrum eyes yet, it's because you're one dimensional and only see things from a perspective that suits you best. Notice how Taher Shah looks at himself from the perspective of a black suit clad Pakistani gentleman and in the exact same spectrum a white suit clad, long curls welding Pakistani rockstar (or I hope that's what a Pakistani Rockstar looks like) . It's only when you see with your spectrum eyes do you realise that nothing is what it seems.  Thank you sir for that first jewel of infinite wisdom.

2. Without you I am like a butterfly, without flying... 

There are some people who make you feel like a butterfly, and then there are some whose absence makes you feel like a butterfly, without flying. Imagine how horrible that would be. Through his godlike wisdom Taher Shah tells us to find faithful eyes, beautiful eyes, glorious eyes. Not eyes that berate you, degrade you and make you feel like shit.  Once again you're spot on Sir.

3. The neighbor angle 

After hearing this song for the 100th time it finally struck me. This song is not only about relationships. It's also about India and Pakistan. Neighbours who couldn't see eye 2 eye ever since they were separated. If only they could, they would see how colorful and glorious they're neighbours eyes are, and we would be one again. 

4. Make love with eye 2 eye 

When was the last time you made love with eye 2 eye. The world has changed.  Guys and gals both like making love doggy style now, because that way you don't need to see your partner eye 2 eye. Shows like Emotional Attyachar have exposed the true beast in teenage relationships.  We need to see eye 2 eye again to enjoy true love.

5. Stylish excellent human eyes

Even dogs have eyes, cats have eyes, fish have eyes but does that mean you should look at them eye 2 eye.  Taher Shah has strictly mentioned that he's talking about stylish excellent human eyes.  Notice the word human. He doesn't discriminate between caste, creed, religion or sex. He doesn't say he's uncomfortable with gay eyes, eunuch eyes, corpse eyes.  His only condition is that they must be human.  Bye, Bye discrimination.
