Our whole existence has been defined by others. We do what
others think is right for us. We say what others think is appropriate to say.
We dress to please others. Taking a shit, is perhaps the only thing we do for
ourselves. We were created for three basic things, eating, fucking and
sleeping. As men became supposedly more intelligent, these basic needs were
replaced by more complicated ones. The need for social stature, the need to
achieve success and the routes to achieve these needs took ugly turns. We lost sight
of who we truly are. Our idiosyncrasies were forcefully curbed, and we put on a
veil to guard against assaults from outside. This veil slowly started defining
us. This veil changed us, made us fit in. In a crowd of a 1000 people, it's
easy to spot a monkey, because it's a freaking monkey. Our idiosyncrasies are
like monkeys, they set us apart. True we may be ridiculed for being unique and
different. True we may start doubting ourselves. True we may see no other way
out. You see, humans are an opinionated lot. Most of their lives have no
meaning, so they look at others lives to comment on. They live for judgment.
They sit on their high stools and they pass judgment. They hurt others feelings
and feel mighty proud of themselves. They delude themselves into believing that
their way of life is the best. And we look back at our true selves with self
doubt. We question our idiosyncrasies. We wonder if God had a plan in making us
different, making us stand out, making us ugly, making us fat, making us the
brunt of every joke. That is when we try to change, to fit in to a set way of
life and when we finally succeed, it's too late to turn back to who we were.
We're now initiated into a society which will take us down with it. And
unconsciously we sit on that throne and judge new souls, because our life has
lost all its meaning.
